Session information:
Artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential impact on higher education has been the subject of much discussion in recent times. The November public launching of ChatGPT, a large language model developed by OpenAI, has substantially intensified the conversation. With its ability to generate human-like text, ChatGPT has the potential to transform the way we teach and learn. The possibilities are endless, but so are the concerns.
- How do we use AI to enhance the learning experience while ensuring its impact is positive and ethical?
- How will ChatGPT impact online learning?
- What will we do to maintain and promote academic integrity?
- How do we prepare our students for a future that is increasingly shaped by AI?
Faculty are also encouraged to take advantage of the resources available on Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT. This webpage includes a collection of articles and other resources that explore the potential of AI and ChatGPT in higher education.
Mark your calendar! We look forward to your participation in this exciting and important conversation.
