All Saints’ Day Mass set for November 1 at Abbey Church
All Saints’ Day will be observed on Tuesday, November 1. This is a holy day of obligation for Catholics, but everyone is invited to attend Mass on this day.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. in the Saint Leo Abbey Church, and celebrated by Abbot Isaac Camacho, OSB, and the monastic community.
All are welcome to join in honoring all the known and unknown saints of the Catholic Church. Since the beginning of Christianity, people have honored the dead. In the seventh century, Pope Boniface IV reportedly established All Saints’ Day. While there are many saints who have their own feast days, All Saints’ Day celebrates all of the saints who have died and reached heaven.
