0Saint Leo supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with events
Breast cancer is a disease that has touched the lives many individuals within the Saint Leo community—from faculty and staff who have been personally affected to our loved ones and friends.
The university will once again host a Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. Employees are encouraged to consider donating $10 or more to the Susan G. Komen fundraising site. In addition, the University Campus entrance will “turn pink” with lighting during the evening in an effort to raise awareness.
In addition, Anthony DeSantis, associate vice president of Student Affairs, is hosting “Pink Run/Walk with the AVP” every Tuesday during the month of October. Staff and faculty employees who participate in one of these events can receive a free sweatband and $10 in onsite event credit through Rally!
Note: Rally on-site event credit will be awarded for participating in one or more runs for the month of October. Individual week participation does not result in weekly Rally credit.
As a reminder, in cooperation with Advent Health, Saint Leo will host a mobile mammography unit equipped with 3D imaging on Monday, October 31, to offer preventative screenings to faculty and staff. Most major insurance is accepted, and there is no extra charge for the 3D capability. Appointments are limited. Please register in advance »
Faculty and staff who have additional questions may contact the Total Rewards team at wellness.benefits@saintleo.edu.
