Second Mission-Driven Leaders event set for March 29
Saint Leo University’s Mission-Driven Leaders: Conversations on Purpose program continues with another guest leader who will visit University Campus on March 29. The university is proud to welcome home alumnus Nick DeMarinis ’05, vice president of sales at WeWork, for an interactive conversation on mission-driven leadership and the core value of excellence.
The event will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms, as well as online via Zoom. It is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public.
The Mission-Driven Leaders: Conversations on Purpose program features interactive conversations with guest leaders from a variety of sectors who have experience in leading with purpose and making a difference in their professions and in society at large. DeMarinis is the second leader to be featured in the series. By engaging in conversations with leaders who practice mission-driven leadership, the intent is to help bring the Saint Leo mission to life for the university community and the public.
DeMarinis has been with WeWork, a commercial real estate company providing flexible workspaces, for three years. Prior to becoming the vice present of sales, he held a position as director of enterprise accounts based in New York City. DeMarinis started his career in tech sales at Yahoo and then spent eight years with LinkedIn in various leadership roles across both North America and Asia Pacific.
Throughout his career, DeMarinis has maintained a leadership philosophy centered in compassion and service to others. In 2016, the Saint Leo University Alumni Association recognized DeMarinis with the Roaring Onward Award for his accomplishments. DeMarinis holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University and a master’s degree in international business from St. John’s University in Rome, Italy.
