Leadership Saint Leo Class of 2022 now accepting self-nominations

The Leadership Saint Leo program began in 2005 to expand leadership capacity, build culture, and create a common leadership lexicon across the entire university, including our education centers, online offices, and University Campus. Approximately 85 of our active leaders have graduated from the program, having met every month for 10 months for an all-day workshop that incorporates a variety of lecture, discussion, case study, and experiential activities.

We are making some changes to the focus of Leadership Saint Leo for the 2022 calendar year. In the past, our cohorts consisted of employees at all stages of their leadership journey. Vice presidents and individual contributors alike share in the long history of this program at Saint Leo University. This year, however, the program will focus primarily on new and emerging leaders. We are especially interested in working with employees who are either interested in leadership roles in their future or who have just begun leading others within the past two years. This program has also changed its format, consisting of only eight half-day sessions.

We are accepting self-nominations so if you believe your participation in the 2022 cohort of Leadership Saint Leo will benefit your professional growth and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply. If you are a supervisor who sees one of your employees as possessing a high potential for leadership, please encourage them to apply!

Please contact Learning and Development Manager Joseph Arner at Joseph.arner02@saintleo.edu to request an application.

Please note: Not all employees who apply will be accepted to participate. Before requesting an application, please consider the following criteria for successful participation:

  • All participants must be full-time, exempt employees.
  • All participants must have been employed by Saint Leo University before September 30, 2021.
  • All applications must be signed by the employee’s direct supervisor and divisional vice president.
  • Because of the intensive nature of the program, participants must possess the self-discipline and motivation to complete the work required by the program and may forfeit their participation if they miss more than one session during the program year.
  • All participants should exhibit a desire to be lifelong learners as aspiring leaders and to advance their professional knowledge and skills, along with an understanding that they are responsible, as students, to ensure that their own learning is meaningful and rewarding.

We thank you for your interest in the program. All applications are due by March 31. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Learning and Development Manager Joseph Arner at joseph.arner02@saintleo.edu.
