Pi Mu Epsilon math honor society chapter inducts members

Saint Leo inducted new members into the university’s chapter of the Pi Mu Epsilon national mathematics honor society. The Saint Leo chapter is called Florida Mu. 

Congratulations were extended to the three new student members: Jacob Austin, Jonathan Berrios, and Therese Corkum.

Faculty advisor Dr. Jacquelyn White, professor of mathematics, worked with students Melissa Coates and Kristen Russell to coordinate the induction, held April 1. 

Founded in 1914, Pi Mu Epsilon has more than 350 chapters at universities across the United States. The honor society’s purpose to promote and recognize mathematical scholarship in postsecondary institutions.
