Departments come together for successful Veterans Day Food Drive
In support of Saint Leo’s core value of community and honor of Veterans Day, Student Advising and Student Financial Services collected an impressive supply of non-perishable food items for donation. Both departments are located in the new Tampa Education Center, in the former Tampa Cigar Factory site.
The teams collected and donated more than 500 items for Metropolitan Ministries. Metropolitan Ministries is a local charity that assists homeless and at-risk children and families with housing, food, clothing, legal counseling, GED classes, and more. The nonprofit has been especially active during the pandemic and provides invaluable support to the Tampa Bay community.
