0Join your university in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Many of our employees have experienced breast cancer through loved ones, friends, and co-workers here in our Saint Leo community. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Saint Leo is holding Breast Cancer Awareness Week. From October 19-23, Saint Leo employees are encouraged to consider making a donation of $5 or more to our Susan G. Komen team fundraising site.
Please help us join Susan G. Komen in the fight against breast cancer. Susan G. Komen fundraising projects will help support lifesaving research, treatment, education, and community health programs.
For every donation, faculty and staff will be able to wear pink and jeans while working onsite, should they choose! Wear your pink in your own way with accessories, awareness shirts, T-shirts, hats, and ties. Let’s show our awareness and help support finding a cure. Show off your pink on social media using #LeoGoesPink.
In addition to wearing jeans, employees who include their name when donating will be entered into a raffle for a basket of items that Human Resources has put together, which will include donated items from vendors. The drawing will be held on November 2, which is the day that the mammogram bus will be visiting Saint Leo.
Remember, early detection is important. If you would like to sign up for a mammogram, click here.
