Be ready: Hurricane Preparedness course now available in Workday

Hurricane season began June 1, and it has been a busy one so far, especially with the Category 4 Hurricane Laura making landfall on Thursday in Louisiana. It is important to be prepared, know where to find available resources, and put a plan together for you and your family. Human Resources has put together a Hurricane Preparedness course designed to help you with this process.

Although this is not a certified course, it does provide supply kit and planning tips; the University Emergency Management Plan guide; interviews with university personnel discussing their role in preparing the university for a hurricane; links to available resources; and much more.

To enroll in this online course, logon to Workday, navigate to Learning, click “Browse Learning,” and enter “Hurricane Prep” in the search field.

For more information, contact Human Resources at (352) 588-7226.
