0First Doctor of Criminal Justice degree students welcomed
The field of criminal justice is one of the most critical lines of work to help protect all of us as citizens – and to help deter crimes from occurring in the first place. The university welcomed its first group of criminal justice doctoral degree students last week.
The university now is offering a Doctor of Criminal Justice (DCJ) degree with two specializations. The DCJ is an online program that can be completed anywhere; however, there are three short residencies built into it to help students connect with Saint Leo and be a part of the university community. The first residency took place at University Campus in St. Leo, FL, with orientation on August 23, followed by three days of classes. The second residency will be at the Newport News Education Center in Virginia and will be held on a Friday through a Sunday and will cover aspects of conducting research. The third residency will be at the Morrow Education Center in the Atlanta area and also will be held on a Friday through a Sunday. These residencies are held throughout the course of the program.
Visit the Saint Leo website for more information on both the Doctor of Criminal Justice: Education and Doctor of Criminal Justice: Homeland Security.
