Registrar’s Office shares reminder on accessing student records

As a reminder to staff, access to student records must be limited to job-related, legitimate educational interests. Staff should not access or update their own records or those of a dependent. If staff members or dependents need information from their educational records, please contact the Registrar’s Office or sign into eLion.

All changes to a staff or dependent’s program (including but not limited to admission, status change, withdrawal, and registration) should be done through the appropriate channels, such as an academic advisor.

Use of information in Colleague/Datatel for activities not directly related to your job requirements at Saint Leo will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Any questions regarding staff access to their own record or a dependent’s student record can be directed to Human Resources at (352) 588-7226.
