Leaders in the Industry webinar presents path to teaching in higher ed November 27
Saint Leo University Career Services is presenting the Leaders in the Industry webinar series. This series of interactive webinars offers students the opportunity to explore career fields with today’s working professionals.
The next live webinar, So You Want to Teach in Higher Ed, is scheduled for 4 p.m., ET, Tuesday, November 27, as Career Services welcomes Brandy Pollicita, instructor of health and wellness at Saint Leo University.
Pollicita was a corporate wellness manager for three Fortune 500 companies in Arizona and Florida prior to her focus in academia. She will share her own story and career path to higher education as she hosts dSo You Want to Teach in Higher Ed.
She received a BA in psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MS in exercise science from Arizona State University. Prior to arriving at Saint Leo University, Pollicita taught at the University of South Florida in the College of Education/Exercise Science Department and the College of Public Health. She is certified through the American Council on Exercise, Silver Sneakers, YogaFit, and CPR/AED through the American Heart Association. When she is not in the classroom, she assists in designing both online and on-campus health education courses. She also is interested in the assessment and promotion of wellness for students and employees.
