Dr. Fern Aefsky, professor of education and director of Graduate Studies in Education, recently was notified by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and World Learning that she is being recommend for placement on the Fulbright Specialist Roster for a tenure of three years.
“The Fulbright Specialist Program is a unique opportunity for U.S. academics and established professionals to engage in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions across the globe,” states the Fullbright website.
Dr. Deb Peterson, associate professor of nursing and chair of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, published “Reflections on the Effects of COVID on New Nurses” in the Journal of Christian Nursing, Volume 40, Issue 2, April-June 2023 issue.
Peterson also served during this past year on the Keiser Nursing Advisory Council. The advisory council is a group of health care leaders and elected officials who collectively work to advocate and promote solutions for hospitals and universities with the challenges they face due to the projected nursing shortage looming in Florida for upcoming years. The advisory council presented its recommendations to Florida legislators in March 2023.
Dr. Austin Trantham, assistant professor of political science, recently published a co-authored article, “Centralizing the Selection of Circuit Court Nominees in the George W. Bush, Obama, and Trump Administrations” in The Commonwealth Review of Political Science.
