University Ministry to hold annual Freshmen Retreat August 23 – 24
Faculty and staff are asked to invite incoming freshmen and new students who may be transferring to Saint Leo to join University Ministry for its annual Freshmen Retreat, August 23 – 24.
This year, the retreat will be hosted at Bethany Retreat Center, which supports the ministries of the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg and is located in Lutz, FL.
The retreat will consist of prayer, the sacraments, talks, fellowship, and games! It’s a great way to connect with other incoming freshman or transfer students and to meet current University Ministry students.
Students who choose to attend will receive an early move-in date on Tuesday, August 22, to be ready for the retreat the next day.
Once students sign up for the retreat, they will receive a time to move in on August 22, a more detailed schedule, and a packing list for the retreat. Everyone will meet on Wednesday, August 23, by the Saint Leo Abbey Church and load into university vans to be transported to the Bethany Retreat Center where they will spend the night and then return to campus by 2 p.m., Thursday, August 24.
