WHAT
Join the Office of Military Affairs and Services and WorldWide Student Life for Conversations About Success Beyond Service in April. Panelists from the St. Petersburg Vet Center and Saint Leo University’s Office of Counseling and Prevention Services will lead this important conversation. Nate Chavez, Student Affairs project pirector for Saint Leo’s Violence Education and Prevention Program (VEPP), will serve as the moderator.
Topics will include the types of sexual trauma that military personnel and survivors may experience including the prevalence, symptoms, and potential impact on victims. Panelists also will discuss best practices for supporting survivors of military sexual trauma and provide insight on how to promote healing and recovery.
There will be a live Q&A, and resources will be provided for attendees who may be looking for additional support or information.
