Encourage students to join National Financial Literacy Month webinars
Did you know April is National Financial Literacy Month? Student Financial Services (SFS) and Sallie Mae share financial resources with Saint Leo University students at all locations.
WHAT
Join Saint Leo University for the upcoming Financial Literary Virtual Bootcamp, a three-part webinar series hosted by Student Financial Services, Student Affairs, and WorldWide Student Life. Guest speaker Laura Dickerson, director of relationship management for Sallie Mae, will provide a variety of financial resources and advice that current students and upcoming graduates can benefit from, including finding scholarships and repaying student loans.
WHO
All University Campus, education center, and online students are invited to attend one or all of the webinars. Students of all ages and experience levels can benefit from these free financial presentations and resources.
WHEN
Tuesday, April 18, 4 – 5 p.m. (ET) Smart Money Management and Credit — Topics include understanding banking, credit and debit cards, savings, and budgeting basics.
Thursday, April 20, 5 – 6 p.m. (ET) Finding Free Money: Scholarships — Scholarships can be a huge help to students, but many don’t know where to find them or how to apply. During this session, participants will learn key tips on applying for scholarships, how to create a winning scholarship essay, and more.
Thursday, April 27, 5 – 6 p.m. (ET) Life After College: Repayment Strategies — It’s never too early to understand important considerations for managing student loan repayment. Participants will leave this session with the knowledge, resources, and tools for success.
