Community invited to Moffitt and Saint Leo University Community Expo, April 14
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public are invited to attend the Moffitt and Saint Leo University Community Expo to be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday April 14, at University Campus. As Moffitt Cancer Center plans to begin construction of Phase 1 of its massive Speros FL medical research park in Pasco County, it is partnering with Saint Leo to create job, internship, and educational opportunities for Saint Leo students, alumni, and surrounding community members.
Events include a welcome by President Dadez, remarks from a Moffitt Cancer Center representative, and a kickoff celebration, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms of the Student Community Center.
Some of the sessions offered will include:
- Resume on the Run resume review, 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Student Community Center (SCC) lobby and loggia.
- Career fair, featuring HR representatives from Moffitt and Saint Leo as well as Admissions and Center for Alternative Pathway Programs representatives, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Student Community Center (SCC) lobby and loggia.
- Exciting Opportunities at Moffitt and How Saint Leo Can Help You Get There, featuring Dr. Kathleen VanEerden, dean of the College of Health Professions, and Moffitt representatives, 11 – 11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 12:35 p.m. in TECO Hall in the Tapia College of Business Building.
- Pasco Community Partnership Opportunities, 11 – 11:30 a.m., in the Student Activities Building (SAB), Room 117 A-B.
- Research Showcase, featuring innovative research presentations from Dr. Sergiv Borvsov and Moffit Cancer Center, 11:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. in the Student Activities Building (SAB), Room 117 A-B.
- A networking luncheon featuring experts and representatives from Moffitt and Saint Leo at every table, 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the boardrooms.
- Wellness activities, including writing for wellness, a gentle stretch class, a gratitude class, pickleball tips, and a mindfulness seminar, 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Wellness Center.
