0Office of Career Services to launch new podcast
On Wednesday, February 8, the first episode of the new Press Paws – Career Stories podcast will be released on select podcast streaming platforms, providing a new outlet easily accessible to students, alumni, and the university community. Made for Saint Leo students who are trying to navigate their careers and grow their professional networks, Press Paws offers a modern, easy-to-listen format that creates more flexibility for listeners to consume information. Recorded in-person, Press Paws uses upgraded recording equipment to ensure a fluid and consistent-sounding audio for long-form discussion and explanation.
The podcast episodes feature prominent industry leaders who talk about their career journey, outlining the steps they have taken to get to the position they are in today. Along with their stories, host Clark Futch from Career Services asks guests a series of six questions related to the university’s core values: Excellence, Community, Respect, Personal Development, Responsible Stewardship, and Integrity.
The first episode on February 8 features U.S. Army veteran Jeff Sargent, who is a doctor of occupational therapy at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa. You can listen to the podcast by searching for Press Paws – Career Stories on Spotify, Amazon, and Google.
Press Paws will post a new episode each month, with updates for each release made available on the Saint Leo University Career Services Instagram page. If you have suggestions for guests or industries you would like to have featured on Press Paws, email clark.futch@saintleo.edu.
