Join in Mass for solemnity of Immaculate Conception on December 8
Thursday, December 8, is the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is a holy day of obligation for Catholics.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend Mass at 10 a.m. in the Saint Leo Abbey Church. Abbot Isaac Camacho, OSB, will celebrate the Mass. Everyone also may join in the 10 a.m. Mass via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/SaintLeoAbbey.
University Ministry will celebrate Mass for the holy day at 5 p.m., also in the Saint Leo Abbey Church. Fr. Anthony Ujagbo, graduate assistant for University Ministry, will celebrate this Mass.
The feast of the Immaculate Conception celebrates that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was born without the stain of original sin. From the beginning, she was “full of grace.”
