Church Street Christmas, December 21-23, features poem of University Safety officer

Looking for something to do during holiday break? Join in the Church Street Christmas in Dade City, near University Campus. This noncommercial event will feature the work of one of our own — Wendell Speer, campus safety officer in University Safety and Emergency Management. His poem, Church Street Christmas, is featured on a large Christmas card that will be displayed in the yard of a home at Church and 14th streets at the event.

The annual Church Street Christmas will take place 7 – 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, through Friday, December 23. All are invited to experience this event along Dade City’s Church Avenue, where carolers, musicians, choirs, and more perform along sidewalks lined with luminaria and brightly decorated homes. This is a free event and is a gift from the residents and churches located on Church Avenue to the Dade City-area community. While being closed to vehicles each evening, the street becomes a pedestrian walkway.
