Spread holiday cheer by signing Christmas card for veterans at Jacksonville Center

Stop by our Jacksonville Education Center on November 21, 22, 28, and 29 to sign Christmas cards for veterans to show your appreciation for their service. Christmas cards will be provided at the center, 9775 Crosshill Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32222, in the Oakleaf Town Center.

“While your well wishes and holiday cheers are all we need, we also will be accepting $10 Visa gift cards to add a little something to the Christmas cards,” said Jessica Starkey, director of the Jacksonville, Lake City, and Mayport education centers.

These cards will be handed out to veterans at the Northeast Florida Homeless & At-risk Veterans Stand Down & Retreat in Clay County, which will take place December 2 – 4. Stand Down is a grassroots, community-based intervention program designed to help the nation’s estimated 37,085 homeless veterans and 1.4 million veterans who are at risk of homelessness on any given night.
