Student Affairs announces new roles for team members

The Student Affairs Division recently announced three new staff updates. Dr. Mike Bailey will now serve as director of Career Services and Accessibility, Mike D’Ambrosio was promoted to chief of University Safety and Emergency Management, and Sergeant Matt McGough was promoted to deputy chief of University Safety and Emergency Management.

Prior to this change, Bailey served as director of Accessibility Services. Due to his excellent strategic planning and supervision skills, he also served as interim director of the Student Health Center and Career Services for a period during the past three years.

Under Bailey’s leadership, the Office of Career Services was able to expand its offerings, including new internship partnerships with employers, the launch of the Career Closet, the creation of a graduation mini-course that collects data of graduates, and more.

The department of Career Services and Accessibility is located on the second floor of the Student Activities Building.

Throughout their careers at the university, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, D’Ambrosio and McGough have made significant contributions toward the success of the University Safety and Emergency Management department.

They have been on call around-the-clock, problem-solved complex issues with little resources, improved campus safety through the use of technology, made personal investments in their professional development, volunteered for additional responsibilities, and devoted energy to the well-being of their team and our students.

Please join in congratulating Mike Bailey, Mike D’Ambrosio, and Matt McGough.
