Lake City Education Center sponsoring youth mental health workshop on September 29
Those who work with youths—teachers, caregivers, pastoral staff members and others—are invited to attend a free youth mental health workshop sponsored by the Saint Leo University Lake City Education Center and Suwannee River Area Health Education Center.
The workshop will take place 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Thursday, September 29, at Lake Shore Hospital Authority, 259 N.E. Franklin St., Lake City, FL 32055.
Designed for those who work and interact with young people ages 12-18, this 8-hour workshop teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human service workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
Registration is required by Thursday, September 15. Those interested may register here.
