Saint Leo student-veterans attend Tampa Chamber’s Military Appreciation Event

Saint Leo University was one of the platinum sponsors of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce’s Military Appreciation event on May 4 at the Florida Aquarium, and several Saint Leo student-veterans and Dr. Larry Braue, director of the Office of Military Affairs and Services, attended this salute to the Tampa Bay area’s armed forces and veterans. The annual event recognizes the contributions the armed forces make to our community.

Student-veterans who attended and represented Saint Leo include: Devon Wilson, Navy veteran majoring in veteran studies; Joshua Thornsberry, Air Force veteran majoring in psychology; Cole Washko, Air Force veteran majoring in English; Matthew Yesair, Navy veteran majoring in criminal justice; Tobias Neal, Air Force veteran, who is a Master of Arts in creative writing student; and Mike Terkos, Army Special Forces veteran (Green Beret) majoring in psychology.
