Mel Greene Institute to host webinar on child sex trafficking

The Mel Greene Institute to Combat Human Trafficking will host the online webinar, Myths & Facts: Child Sex Trafficking, from 7 to 8 p.m. ,on Wednesday, April 20. Dr. Joan Reid, director of the University of South Florida (USF) Trafficking in Persons -Risk to Resilience Research Lab, will serve as the guest speaker.

Reid has authored more than 60 publications primarily focused on child sex trafficking in Florida and was recently ranked the fifth most active human trafficking researcher in the world. Her work has been cited more than 2,000 times by other academics.

The webinar is held in partnership with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Florida Forensic Institute for Research, Security, and Tactics (F1RST). Those interested in attending must register in advance to attend. For more information, please contact Dr. Karin May at Karin.may@saintleo.edu.
