0CARDS, Saint Leo redesignated as National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
After an impressive review of the university’s cybersecurity program, the School of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Data Science (CARDS) announced that the National Security Agency has redesignated Saint Leo University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education.
This designation has been continued through 2027 by the National Security Agency (NSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security and certifies that Saint Leo’s curriculum in cybersecurity meets or exceeds the requirements and standards expected of a leader in cybersecurity education.
The university’s cybersecurity degree program serves to address the critical shortage of professionals with cybersecurity skills and highlights the importance of higher education as a solution to defending America’s cyberspace.
