Saint Leo community invited to march in St. Patrick’s Day parades

Saint Leo University will once again serve as a sponsor of the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade and participate in the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Georgia. These two popular events attract thousands of people each year, making the parades a great opportunity to generate awareness for Saint Leo.

Faculty, staff, students, and alumni are invited to be a part of a group that will march in the parades. Plan a weekend getaway to one of these great cities and help represent your university. To attend, register online by March 11 (NYC) or March 14 (Savannah).

New York Parade

Pre-parade Brunch | 9:30 a.m. to noon
Before the parade, join Saint Leo community members at the Residence Inn Times Square (1033 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10018) for a Pre-Parade Brunch in the Empire Room. Afterward, this group will walk to the staging area together.

March | 12:20 p.m.
It’s hard to describe the energy and excitement that comes from marching in one of our nation’s oldest and largest parades. Thousands come out to watch the parade in New York City or from the comfort of their homes on TV. Marching the streets of New York City is an unforgettable experience. Our formation time is 12:20 p.m. We will line up on W. 45th Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue after Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital and before the Police Emerald Society of Westchester.

Savannah Parade | Parade starts at 10:15 a.m.
Make plans now to join Saint Leo University in the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Georgia. There is room for everyone, as Savannah is home to the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the country. All alumni, parents, students, and friends are invited to help celebrate the day by marching in the parade. It’s an exciting way to represent our great university and show off our green and gold! Formation times and details for the parade will be released closer to the event.
