0Saint Leo holds Breast Cancer Awareness Week
Breast cancer is a disease that has touched the lives many individuals within the Saint Leo community—from faculty and staff who have been personally affected to our loved ones and friends.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the university will once again host a Breast Cancer Awareness Week. From October 18-22, employees are encouraged to consider donating $10 or more to the Saint Leo University Susan G. Komen team fundraising site.
In addition to wearing pink all week, faculty and staff who donate can also participate in a pink and jeans day on Friday, October 22. Wear pink the way you choose—from pink scarves and T-shirts to hats and ties! Let’s show our awareness and give in support of finding cures. To amplify our efforts, take a photo of yourself wearing pink and share a few words about why this cause is so important on social media. Use the hashtag #LeoGoesPink.
As a reminder, in cooperation with Advent Health, Saint Leo will host a mobile mammography unit equipped with 3D imaging on Wednesday, November 3, to offer preventative screenings to faculty and staff. Most major insurance is accepted, and there is no extra charge for the 3D capability. Appointments are limited. Please register in advance »
Faculty and staff who have additional questions may contact the Total Rewards team at wellness.benefits@saintleo.edu.
