Campus community invited to connect with Sunrise of Pasco advocates September 27

Sunrise of Pasco County Domestic & Sexual Violence Center advocates will be available to chill, chat, and connect with students, faculty, and staff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Monday, September 27 at the Student Community Center complex clock tower. The event is organized by Saint Leo Campus Advocacy, Resources, & Education (CARE).

Sunrise of Pasco County Domestic & Sexual Violence Center is an agency that helps to prevent incidents, as well as providing services post-incident. Sunrise provides confidential shelter for survivors of domestic and sexual violence who do not feel safe in their own homes. The shelter has qualified counselors, a case manager, and is staffed with shelter managers who are there to help.

The advocates want you to know that Sunrise cares about you and our community. Meet them in a safe space, grab a cookie, spin the wheel, and play a game of Planko to learn more about the resources available for dating and sexual violence survivors on and off-campus.

For more information, contact Noemi Reyes, project coordinator, CARE, at (352) 588-7216 or noemi.reyes@saintleo.edu.
