0Saint Leo creates Social Justice Matters webpage, DEIJ resource
Saint Leo recently launched a new webpage, Social Justice Matters, to showcase the university’s many Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) efforts. Initiated by the university’s Social Justice Committee, the page was created to provide resources for our community.
The Social Justice Committee includes students, faculty, and staff who are working to explore issues of racism and move our university forward with honest conversations and initiatives.
As a Catholic institution, members of the Saint Leo community are called to serve each other and make an impact on our world. On the Social Justice Matters webpage, you’ll find resources such as recordings from the 2020-2021 Courageous Conversations Series; the Social Work, Social Justice, and Unity Roundtable on the Saint Leo 360 Podcast; a recording of the Saint Leo University Honors Program presentation “What is Anti-racism?”; and several other initiatives from the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition, Social Justice Matters features a list of organizations that students may join.
Keep an eye out in 2021-2022, for updates to the webpage and additional social justice and DEIJ activities and resources.
