0Webinar topic: career readiness through the eyes of employers
Join Career Services at 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, as it hosts Saint Leo University alumna Laura Chirichigno ’10 ’12, CGMA, CPA, CFF, and founder/president of Ellenton CPA, LLC in Bradenton, FL. Laura earned her accounting degrees, the BA and MAcc, as well as the Master of Business Administration, from Saint Leo University. She uses her entrepreneurial instincts and clarity of vision to help clients through periods of rapid and continuous growth. Her clients include large multi-national manufacturers, national contractors, and various small businesses that use her as chief financial officer.
Laura’s experience has required that she interview many people seeking professional positions, and she is offering to share her perspectives on what attributes make some job candidates stand out while others fail to impress. She believes that candidates whose resumes show progress in attaining experience and responsibility, reflect internships and work-experience programs, and list certifications in addition to degrees will gain the greatest attention from prospective employers. Yet, candidates with impressive resumes also need to convey their strengths during interviews, and she can offer insights into that step, as well.
Career Services urges students to take this hour to hear from Laura and gain insights on coming across as a qualified, career-ready candidate. This is an unusual opportunity to receive advice from an actual hiring executive.
