Campus food drive collects over 700 pounds of donations for Feeding Tampa Bay

The LEAD Scholars Program, in conjunction with the Campus Activities Board and the Office of Community Engagement, collected and donated 726 pounds of non-perishable items to Feeding Tampa Bay. This will provide 615 meals to families in need this holiday season. The drive titled “Give Back, Give Thanks” brought the entire campus together for a great cause and emphasized Saint Leo’s core value of community.

Feeding Tampa Bay was overjoyed to receive the donations ahead of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Feeding Tampa Bay, part of the national Feeding America network, focuses on providing food to the hundreds of thousands of food-insecure families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida.
