Anti-virus software changeover takes effect soon
The Department of Information Technology will be switching anti-virus solutions beginning on Monday, September 28, from Symantec Endpoint Protection to Sophos Endpoint Protection. No disruption of service is expected, though people will be prompted to restart devices so that the automated update can proceed.
There is no other action required. IT simply wants to keep the university community informed about information security improvements. If there are any questions, call (352) 588-8888.
