Zoom security update goes into effect August 17

The Department of Information Technology (formerly TI3) has updated Zoom security protocol for the university community to ensure safe and private meetings and web conferences.

Effective Monday, August 17, faculty and staff security default settings will change so that only Saint Leo University domain users will have access to Saint Leo meetings. Saint Leo domain users are email account ending in @saintleo.edu or @email.saintleo.edu. This change will only affect meetings initiated by staff and faculty, not students.

To avoid any meeting interruptions, it is important for all faculty and staff to have an active Saint Leo Zoom account. To create an account, visit https://saintleo.zoom.us/. Click “Sign In” and follow the prompts.

Resources:
  • For meetings that require external participants outside of the Saint Leo domain, follow the instructions shown in the News section of the IT Help Desk at the online TOPdesk service intake portal.
