0Lions’ Lair now has new name, look, and menu
Starting today, the Lions’ Lair now has a new name, new look, and a new menu. The grab-and-go food spot will now be called Fuz, Saint Leo University Fusion Eatery. The name is pronounced ph-u-sz or fuse, which is short for fusion. It will serve a variety of Asian and Mexican-inspired food options, in addition to many of the student favorites that the Lions’ Lair served.
Southwest and Asian-inspired foods have been sweeping the nation in popularity, and Fuz will cater to this growing demand.
“Southwest, Asian, and Latin-inspired foods are part of a growing food service trend that we are seeing across the nation,” said Dining Services Director Justin Bush. “By rebranding the Lions’ Lair, we will be able to bring a taste of these foods to the Saint Leo University community while at the same time helping to enhance the student dining experience.”
Fuz will offer a menu that will include items such as street tacos, burritos, sushi, and rice, noodle, and poke bowls. Popular student favorites such as chicken tenders, fries, and burgers will remain on the menu as well.
In addition to the menu, Fuz was redesigned with a look that compliments its new offerings. The space features fresh colors, a new layout design, and other Asian and Mexican-inspired décor.
Faculty and staff are welcome to visit Fuz to make snack and meal purchases. Some designated grab and go items in Fuz, as well as Benedict’s Coffeehouse, will qualify for the faculty and staff meal plan. Fuz will accept Bonus Bucks, Monarch Money, and Lions’ Loot as forms of payment. Beginning August 23, Fuz will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Currently, it is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
