By the numbers: Fast facts about new students on campus
As Saint Leo welcomes our new students to University Campus, what do we know about these members of our community? Notable characteristics of the incoming students include:
- There are about 950 new campus students;
- 64 percent are from Florida;
- 20 percent are from out of state;
- 16 percent are from international countries;
- 148 student-athletes are joining the Lions;
- 66 new student-athletes are from Florida;
- Student-athletes are from 20 countries: United States, Greece; France; South Africa; Croatia; Canada; Norway; Brazil; Australia; Spain; Poland; The Bahamas; Ireland; Switzerland; Sweden; Hungary; Denmark; Italy; Kazakhstan; and Germany;
- The most popular degree programs are biology, business, criminal justice, computer science, and psychology; and,
- About 44 percent of campus residents are our new students.
