The Center for Academic Vision and Excellence (CAVE) celebrated the end of the academic year with an online recognition ceremony via Zoom on April 22. Seven graduating seniors were commended on their achievement and given well-wishes for the future. Eight tutors were awarded the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) level 1 tutor certification endorsed by the International Tutor Training Certification Program (ITTPC). To qualify, tutors must complete 10 hours of training and 25 hours of direct tutoring experience.
Tutors Caitlin Walsh and Bailey Alleman were recognized for earning Academic Excellence in Leadership Awards on April 30, as was Fall Semester 2019 tutor, Kyshonna Bethel, recipient of the Clara McDonald Olson Scholastic Excellence Award. Honorable mention went to senior, Eduard de la Luz, for outstanding service as a CAVE front desk staff member.
