0San Diego Education Center helps Marston House Museum on MLK Day
The San Diego Education Center participated in a day on, not a day off as staff members celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Staff members joined in the 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Interfaith Service. They cleaned brush around the Marston House Museum and Gardens in Balboa Park, CA. George W. Marston was a civic leader and merchant. The house that was built for him in 1905 now serves as a museum, and is a fine example of California’s Arts and Crafts movement.
Marston is noted for many things but most prominently as a civic leader whose interest and work in historic preservation, conservation, and history is well known.
