Newport News Education Center ceremony honored veterans
Saint Leo University’s Newport News (VA) Education Center hosted a Veterans Appreciation Week ceremony on Friday, November 8, for those who share the building at One BayPort Way.
Faculty, staff, students, and alumni were welcomed to the event to honor those who served in the U.S. military.
It was an opportunity to meet co-workers, fellow Lions, and veterans while honoring the sacrifices of veterans.
The ceremony included readings of the history of Armistice Day, the observance of Veterans Day, and the poem In Flanders Fields; a moment of silence; and refreshments.
