In memoriam—Albert P. Duarte
The Saint Leo University community mourns the loss of Albert P. Duarte, father of Veronica Mantegna, academic credentialing specialist in Academic Affairs. Mr. Duarte passed away at age 83 on November 8, 2019.
His survivors in addition to Veronica include another daughter, Jacqueline Johnstone, and five grandchildren. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and resided in San Antonio, Florida.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Saint Columbanus Church, 122 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567.
In lieu of flowers. a gift can be made in Albert’s memory to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation, 3329 Johnson Street, Hollywood, FL 33021. The foundation can also be reached at (954) 265-3454.
