0Gwinnett Education Center hosts caregiving event November 8
The Gwinnett Education Center will host a livestream of the Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, November 8. The conference is being held in Chicago, but will be broadcast live to the university’s Gwinnett Education Center, 3555 Koger Blvd., Room 9, Duluth, GA 30096. Caregivers, nurses, health-related professionals, and anyone interested in caregiving careers are invited to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be served. Dr. Rafael Rosado-Ortiz, chair of Saint Leo University’s health care management department, will provide information about the university’s program and degrees. The conference includes:
- 9:30 a.m. – Illinois Lieutenant Governor Julian Stratton will share her caregiving story
- 10:30 a.m. – When the Care Plan Become an End-of-Life Plan
- 11:30 a.m. – Managing Our Grief (coping mechanisms)
- Noon – Health care information session and reception
Those who participate will earn a certificate of attendance and gain more knowledge about health care and caregiving, and connect with other family care providers and professionals.
