0Candlelight vigil planned in support of Bahamian community
In response to Hurricane Dorian’s impact on the Bahamas, the Saint Leo University community will hold a candlelight vigil at 7:45 p.m., on Thursday, September 5, outside of the Tapia College of Business Building. Saint Leo is home to many students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are from the Bahamas or have family and friends who live in the country.
The vigil will include prayer, music, and remarks delivered by several speakers, including Saint Leo President Jeffrey Senese, Student Government Union President Celine-Deon Palmer, and Caribbean Student Association President Ashley Butler.
