Newport News Center hosting career, community resource fair
Saint Leo University’s Business, Criminal Justice, and Human Services departments will present the fourth annual Career and Community Resource Fair from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, March 16. at the Newport News Education Center. The theme is “Career Readiness.”
The Newport News Education Center is at One BayPort Way, Suite 160, Newport News, VA 23606.
The event will be hosted by Dr. Amina Abdullah, Dr. Michelle Boone-Thornton, Dr. Cheri Chambers, and Dr. Craig Winstead.
The career fair is for attendees 18 and older, and is open to students, alumni, and the public. Attendees are advised to dress professionally and bring several copies of a résumé. Several events will take place including a résumé review, USA Jobs session, mock interviews, dress-for-success session, and a salary negotiation session.
