In memoriam
The Saint Leo University community mourns the loss of Giovanna Calabrese, mother of Vincenza (Vinnie) Shaw, executive assistant for Business Affairs. Mrs. Calabrese, 83, of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 5, in Teaneck, NJ.
Mrs. Calabrese was born in Bagnara Calabra, Italy. She was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo. In addition to Vincenza Shaw, she is survived by sons Rocco, Giovanni, and Frank Calabrese; and daughters Angela Gramuglia, Carmela DeMaio, and Maria Valentino; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by many sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., today, Monday, October 8, at A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 247 Knox Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ 07010. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum in Fairview, NJ.
