0Look at entertainment industry glass ceiling set for Newport News on March 24
“If Beyonce, LeBron & Oprah Can Make It, Can’t Anyone? The Persistence of the Glass Ceiling in the Entertainment Industry,” will be the last session of Saint Leo’s “Beyond the Classroom” series at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24.
The School of Arts and Sciences began presenting “Beyond the Classroom,” a series of discussions by faculty members who teach in Virginia in the university’s English, religion, sociology, and psychology departments, in November. The goal of the series is to demonstrate the relevance and applicability of arts and sciences coursework to various fields.
The public, as well as Saint Leo University students, alumni, faculty, and staff, are invited to this free event.
The presentation will be by Dr. Eileen O’Brien, associate professor of sociology, at Saint Leo University’s Newport News Education Office, One BayPort Way, Suite 160, Newport News, VA 23606.
