0D2L upgrade starting Summer 1 term
Courses is getting a facelift!
Starting Summer 1 term, D2L is changing the User Experience for the learning management system. Summer 1 term begins on April 30. You’ll notice a new look and feel for the SLU online campus, powered by Brightspace.
The new user interface is called the Daylight Experience. This new interface was built on a responsive design so it will adapt to different screen sizes. Although your common workflows aren’t changing, you’ll notice some positive changes when you first log in. These are designed to make the experience more consistent and visually appealing for your students, as well as easier for you to create and update your courses.
How will your courses benefit?
- Simplified navigation
- Wider page layout for your content
- New fonts, icons, colors and simpler formatting of widgets to provide consistent experience
- New My Courses widget featuring rich photography in a responsive tile-based layout
- New image library with over 3,000 images that you can choose from for other course tiles
