Saint Leo University Career Services is presenting the Leaders in the Industry webinar series. This series of interactive webinars offers students the opportunity to explore career fields with today’s working professionals.

Career Services welcomes DeShan King, human resources management graduate from the University of Maryland University College. King is a senior human resources specialist in recruitment policy and outreach at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The OPM provides human resources, leadership, and support to federal agencies and helps the federal workforce achieve its aspirations as its serves the American people. The OPM promotes an inclusive wor force defined by diverse perspectives.
King will offer specific information for successfully applying to federal opportunities, including reviewing announcements, resume format, and important information to include on a federal resume. She will remind us to think outside the box, including leveraging paid and unpaid experiences and accomplishments, which may be relevant to the role. She will also walk us through the resume builder function, a valuable tool in the federal application process.
