Monday Movie Night: The Battle of Algiers

The School of Arts and Sciences is continuing to host its Movie Mondays this semester. Enjoy a movie and complimentary popcorn and sodas on the last Monday of each month. In keeping with the school’s theme, “REVOLUTION!: Saint Leo Celebrates the 60s,” the movies featured will be from the tumultuous decade of the 1960s. Admission to all movies is free and open to the public.

For the month of February, the featured movie is The Battle of Algiers (1966), a historical war film based on the events of the Algerian war against the French government in North Africa. Nominated for three Academy Awards, including best screenplay, this movie is a must-see for film and history fans alike!

The movie will begin promptly at 7 p.m., Monday, February 26, and will be shown in Selby Auditorium in Lewis Hall at University Campus. Please arrive early to find your seat.
