0“Dialogue with Sacred Jewish Text” — November 15
The Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies at Saint Leo University is pleased to host Rabbi Jason Rosenberg at University Campus on Wednesday, November 15. He will present “Dialogue with Sacred Jewish Text,” a three-part text series on Talmud, classical Torah commentators, and the mystical/spiritual Torah commentators, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the School of Business building’s TECO Hall. Attendees will have the chance to read Jewish sacred texts and discuss them with one another and Rabbi Rosenberg.
Rabbi Rosenberg of Congregation Beth Am, Tampa, was ordained by the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in May 2001, after studying at its New York campus. He served as an associate rabbi at Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, Canada, starting in 2001, before coming to Congregation Beth Am in 2007. A past chair of the Tampa Rabbinical Association, Rabbi Rosenberg has also served on the board of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (the national organization of Reform Rabbis) and is currently on the boards of the Hillel Academy of Tampa and the Tampa Jewish Federation.
