0Hispanic Heritage celebration to take place October 3
The Department of Language Studies and the Arts and the Spanish Club will present “A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage” from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms of the Student Community Center.
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to come and go as their schedule allows. Fun and engaging activities are scheduled to take place throughout the day, including a poster session and a special cultural meal served by the Dining Hall in honor of the Hispanic Heritage celebration ¡Los Esperamos!
Students should pick up their activity sheets at the door and verify them on the way out as proof of their attendance.
Event organizers also want to recognize students, faculty, and staff by featuring them on a “Wall of Our Hispanic Community.” Those with Hispanic heritage who would like to be featured can stop by to have their Polaroid profile taken and to fill out a brief questionnaire any time from 9 a.m. to noon from Thursday, September 21, to Monday, October 2, in Room 328 of Saint Edward Hall. Feel free to bring a prop or wear clothing that represents your heritage.
